Ages and Stages...
I was contacted by Canadian Family magazone recently to do seven spot illustrations for their Ages and Stages section of the magazine. Each illustration/article deals with issues a parent may come across in that stage of their child's life. It was a fun yet challenging assignment and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. The illustrations appear in the April edition of their magazine which is out on shelves now. Look for me on the contributors page too!

Square Foot Show 2008
"Jess"
"Amelia"

I've just completed two paintings on canvas for the Square Foot Show 2008 at AWOL Gallery in Toronto. All the paintings in the show are 12"x12" and are selling for $200.00.
The show takes place at 100A Ossington Ave on the 2nd floor and runs from August 16th to September 7th. The public opening reception is on the 16th at 7pm.
For more information on the show visit http://www.awolgallery.com/
It's always a really fun show with so many different styles and mediums, I highly suggest checking it out if your in the Toronto area.

My Other Obsession...

So there's nothing really new and exciting happening in my illustration world lately. I'm currently working on getting a new website up and I'm doing some sketches for a few new paintings for a gallery show this summer.
I figured instead of posting artwork I would share with you my true obsession, my horse Chevy.
Basically he is the reason I draw. Chevy is the realization of a dream to own my own horse again and I love him to bits. Basically I work so that I can have him.

Curve Magazine

I currently have two pieces in the May issue of "Curve" magazine.
It was another first as I had never drawn a pregnant woman before. In this case, I had to draw two, as one of the articles is about a lesbian couple who were pregnant at the same time.
I really enjoyed illustrating these two articles and I'm glad that I'm getting jobs lately that have pushed me to draw things I wouldn't have chosen to draw on my own.

What Your Nanny Really Thinks of You

I just recently did these two pieces for "Canadian Family Magazine" for an article entitled "What Your Nanny Really Thinks of You". I found the illustrations challenging as I've never really drawn that many children or babies before. I was also freaking out a bit before they were due as my friends horse had kicked me in the jaw and I was finding it hard to ink my final pieces. Luckily the art director was really understanding.
